We are currently taking applications and resumes for full and part time diet aides to assist in serving high quality meals for our residents. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Serving high quality meals in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner.Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specification procedures.Restocks items, as needed, throughout shifts.Cleans and maintains area and practices outstanding safety, sanitation and organizational skills.Utilize and maintain kitchen equipment.Serve meals for customers with special dietary requirements such as food allergies, special needs and textures.Ensure quality and safety of meals by performing standard measures such as sweeping of floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food in accordance with standards and procedures.Working in the dish room area.Serving residents in the main dining area. Demonstrate flexibility and volunteer to fill open shifts, as needed.Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies. Other duties are requested.Work Weekend ShiftsRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in long term car e or sub-acute setting, preferred. Good working knowledge of methods and procedures for preparing and serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles or safe food handling. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, understand verbal and written instructions, practice active listening and communicate effectively. Must have a high threshold for temperatures in a kitchen environment. The ability to successfully complete a physical exam and complete background check (if you are a final candidate).Flexibility regarding days and weekends worked.Serve safe Certified, welcomed but not required.
